Horse Racing Betting System

Friday, January 22nd, 2010

The important thing, and with any betting, is that you write down every rule and follow it for at least 100 bets. You do not need to trade real money, paper trading is best at first. If after 100 bets it is in profit, you can then give it a betting bank and start gambling.

Starting an untested system with real money, and packing it in on its first losing run, putting it down as failed, will only cost you more and more money in the long term. Being patient saves you money.

So let us get down to starting a system eh? I’ll show you below how simple they are to put together, this example is profitable, so no reason why you can not follow it with a betting bank, but its yearly profits are not huge, but have a go at your own, always making sure that you understand way a rule works.

The system below is designed for National Hunt racing.

‘The NH High SR Non-Handicap Fav System’

Rule 1: Non-Handicap races only.
This ensures that we do not include handicap races, which are more difficult to get profitable systems out of. Although when you do they are more profitable than non-handicap races.

Rule 2: Forecast Favourite only (if joint VOID bet)
Just to make sure we have one clear qualifier for our non-handicap race.

Rule 3: Forecast price must be odds on.
I know that the lower the odds the more likely it is to win, although the lower the odds the smaller the profit for a new bank.

The first 3 rules of any systems I quantify as the main system rules, they ensure we have the main set of qualifiers we are looking for. Those rules after, I regard as filters to take out any facts I know are not profitable long term.

Rule 4: Horse age must be 6+
This is because in the UK, horses are not generally full wound up for jumping until they are at least 6, so those of a lower age have erratic results that do not prove profitable, so no use including them.

Rule 5: Horse must have finished 2nd or worse on its last run.
Horses that won last time out usually go off at lower odds than they should, so an edge is taken away.

Rule 6: Must be a gelding.
Geldings win the majority of races over fences, and are generally have the most consistent and reliable form.

Rule 7: Going must be Good-Soft or better.
Any softer than this and results can get a bit random.

That is it. Over the last 10 years it has produced a 48pt profit even at those low odds, and a 63% SR overall. It has had 3 losing years in that period, the worst being 5pts, but using the betting exchange prices, they would also have shown a profit.. There are around 100 bets per year.

Bingo Rooms

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

Bingo rooms on most online bingo sites are themed to the sites appearance. Some rooms are designed in 3-D to resemble real bingo rooms, but most sites are kept simple and take the format of a game screen with a chat window included. Chat windows are usually found on the left hand side of the room, the bingo board is generally at the top in the centre of the screen and the cards the player buys are shown in the centre of the screen. Additional information such as current jackpots and patterns are generally indicated on the right hand side.

The majority of online bingo games have a main or general room for beginners and less serious players, and a room for players wanting to play for higher stakes. One of the most popular bingo sites, Bingodrome, has a Main Room and a High Rollers Room. Games in the Main Room are mostly standard games and promotions, and also feature jackpots, special offers and progressive jackpots. The themes include Hollywood, Summer Garden, Summer Garden, Baby’s Room, Oceans of Dreams and Pina Colada.

The High Rollers Room has all the features that are found in the Main Room as well as bigger jackpots. The games are often more challenging in this room, which features a blackout pattern as the jackpot pattern. Cards prices are higher in the High Rollers Room, and the minimum number of cards for purchase is higher. Bingodrom’s High Rollers Room has an Imperial Palace theme and a Tycoon theme.

Chat features are an integral part of bingo rooms. Players are able to socialize with Chat Leaders and fellow players while they play, which makes the game more entertaining and fun. Card buying features such as Schedule Buy at Bingodrome make it easy for players to pre-book games and buy cards, allowing them to spend time chatting to other players while they watch their games. Chat brings a strong sense of community to bingo rooms, making it a similarly social event to the experience of playing bingo in land based bingo rooms. Bingodrome maximizes this sense of community with player focused features and benefits. Players, known as ‘Roomies’ at Bingodrome, have the benefit of a Roomie Gallery and weekly newsletters that make them feel like part of the Bingodrome family.

Respect for fellow players and Chat Leaders is always expected in any online bingo room. Players are encouraged to support and respect one another, and players who are consistently rude, aggressive or uncooperative are warned. If they persist in their behavior, players can be banned from a bingo room.

Gambling System

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Although there are people who claim to have found systems to beat the odds at any type of gambling, most of the gambling systems that you hear of are for a particular form of gambling; such as Blackjack, Poker, or Roulette. There are many books about systems for particulars areas of gambling, most written by people who have focused a lot of time and energy on their choice of game. There is no arguing that there are people out there who win more at certain games then they lose; just look at the professional Poker players you see on TV these days who live quite comfortably on their winnings. Many of these professionals have written books on how to win at Poker, and more than likely their advice is sound and potentially profitable.

For the serious gambler, the best thing to do is to choose one game – two at the most – and do as much research as possible. Practicing the game helps, but you may not be the kind of person who can come up with winning strategies easily. More often than not a great deal of math is involved, and for some people math just isn’t their strong suit. It’s best to find systems that have already been established by successful gamblers, and see if they work for you. Systems differ with whomever invented them, and it may be worth the time to try several different systems before you decide on which one works best for you. Keep your wagers small until you feel comfortable that a certain system is going to work well for you.

Craps System Increases Your Chances

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Have you ever seen The Lakers or any other top football team going into the Super Bowl without a game plan?  I haven’t.  And this is also true for the Craps game. You don’t enter a serious Craps game without some sort of a game plan. With a good Craps game plan to follow, it’s  less likely that you’ll get caught up with all the “bad bets” at the table when things go wrong  Vital questions your game plan must answer, for example is when to bet, what to bet on and how much to bet, etc.

Know Thy Odds

You should know the odds for any number that is rolled in the Craps game.  As Craps players we know that the house has a definite advantage as the seven has the highest chance of rolling than any number. So a general rule of thumb should be that the further away from a seven the number is, the lower the chance it has of being rolled. Let’s say a two has a one in 36 chance while an eight has five in 36 chance of rolling. So by applying a little common sense, you’ll see that you should  chose to place bets on numbers that have higher chances of rolling.

Craps discipline

To carry out your craps game plan, you need to drum up discipline. This means doing like the professional gamblers do; don’t let greed and fear tempt you away from common sense.  If you keep focused and execute a little discipline, you can play only the strongest bets on the table and eventually walk away with minor losses instead of ruin.
