Poker tells exist both in the live games and in the online games. If you want to beef up your poker strategy, you will surely be interested in learning the common poker tells.
In a physical card room or in a casino, you will notice a poor player putting a hand over his mouth. Why? Because he is trying to conceal a smile (not a yawn). You can be sure that just as the sun rises in east, he is holding a strong hand. Another physical twitch is when the player reaches for a drink: his mouth is dry because he is nervous. A nervous player is relatively easy to lead.
If an opponent is trying to stare you down, he is trying to intimidate you. What is the reason behind this? Most likely, he is bluffing. If you have a strong hand, call. If you have a great hand and want more action, raise.
Observe the eyes of your opponent when the flop comes. If he takes a quick look at his chips, he probably has a strong hand. He is thinking of how much he will bet and win.
When you play online, will knowing poker tells be useful? Of course. Poker tells will differ slightly from player to player, but your online opponents are still humans. What you need to observe closely is the time or duration that an opponent spends during his turn or chance to bet.
In a limit game, when two flush or straight cards are out, and one of the players makes a quick call, this usually means a draw. On the flop, however, when one player makes an instantaneous raise, you can assume that he has a top pair.
When one of your opponents that you consider a poor player is taking time to think, he is actually debating whether to call or fold. This means that his hand is weak. Now if he took time (but not too long) to think and then raise, you can be sure that he is not bluffing. Poor players generally don’t bluff.

Knowledge of different poker playing styles should lead you to an adjustment of your poker game. Generally, some players you may want to attack right off the bat, others you may want to leave alone. Here are some of the different players‘ styles:
Loose
The loose player is someone you need to watch out for. They are characterized by their inexperience and usually play a lot of hands. Seemingly, the loose player is always in the thick of the poker game. Even with a poor hand, he will play until the very end of the game hoping to get some luck with his cards. If you play very aggressive with decent cards, exploiting a loose player shouldn’t be that difficult. Most likely, a loose player will likely reward your efforts.
Aggressive loose
An aggressive loose player raises the pot with nothing and bets no matter what card he has. He always calls bluff at every opportunity and is talkative and brimming with over-confidence. Don’t get egoistical around an aggressive-loose player. And don’t fall into the trap of playing his game and calling his bets just to expose the weakness of his game. When you have the cards to do so, attack them.
Tight
Compared to an aggressive player, a tight player folds at every hand and waits for pocket Aces. They can easily be lured by a bluff. However, when they see signs of intimidation, they fold. Be cautious, however, if they don’t fold.
Aggressive Tight
These type of players are extremely cocky. Until the aggressive tight player gets a good hand, he will opt to fold several times. When he plays his cards, he tends to play like a loose player. He has knowledge of how to get more money for his strong cards. Likewise, he knows how to take it easy and let the other players on the table do battle when his cards are not good enough. You might be in a bit of luck if you are successful in bluffing an aggressive-tight player into a hand. Don’t allow yourself to be played by an Aggressive Tight player.

However this in my opinion should not be the sole basis of your decision on whether you should draw for another card.
You also have to decide on whether the hand that you are trying to hit will win you the pot or not.
How to calculate pot odds:
In this example, if the current pot contains $80, and the amount required at the next call is $20, the pot is laying you odds of $80 to $20 or 4 to 1.
As long as your odds of making the best hand are 4 to 1 or better than making the call is the right move. A hand that is 4 to 1 means that you will hit once in every 5 tries. You will hit the draw 20 percent of the time.
This next example takes into account calculating pot odds and outs.
Assume that your hole cards are a six and a seven (for this example suits do not matter) and the flop came down 8-9-3.
In order to complete your hand you need a 5 or 10. You have eight outs – 4-5’s and 4-10’s. Multiply your outs (8) by 4 and you get 32. You have a 32 percent chance of making your hand. If there was only one card left to draw you would multiply by two.
A 32 percent chance of making your hand means you have a 68 percent chance of NOT making your hand. This is roughly 2 to 1 that you won’t make the hand. So, as long as the pot contains $2 for every $1 that you have to call, it is worth going after your straight.
Doing these quick calculations and interpreting them can be very difficult and confusing for a beginner (and many advanced players as well!). But I would recommend that you at least be able to quickly calculate your outs to give you an idea of just how likely you are to make your hand.

Over the past couple of years, thousands of people have been trying to cash a quick buck off its popularity, and hundreds of web sites have suddenly popped up, but despite all of this the WSOP has been around when poker was considered serious card playing. It wasn’t a fad that was made to be televised into some sort of fashion. It was quality poker.
Back in the day, men smoked cigars and sipped whisky while eyeing up their opponents. It was a game made for men like Nicolas Dandolos, commonly referred to as Nick the Greek, and Benny Binion. These two were champion gamblers and poker players back during the 1940s. It was no wonder then when Nick the Greek approached Binion to set up a world class match. Nick challenged the supposed champion of all poker players, Johnny Moss.
There was one exception though, Binion made sure to attract as much attention to the event as possible by holding it in public. It was to be on public display and seen as a marathon. After five long months of discussion and compromises, all parties agreed to continue with the match. Thus, the World Series of Poker was born in 1949. It was a grueling event where the players only took breaks to catch up on sleep. Moss came out on top and reportedly took home around $2 million in cash, nearly an entire casino’s worth in 1949.
Nearly 21 years later, Binion decided to try his hand with the WSOP again. It was 1970, and this time he officially deemed it the WSOP. And once again, Johnny Moss did what he does best and walked away with the pot.
He continued the World Series of Poker yearly from then on. By 1982, there were 104 top poker players signed up for the WSOP. Now in 2006, at the height of the poker craze, everyone believes he or she is the next gift to poker. Last year, there were 5,619 people entered into the main event.

There are no fixed shapes or sizes for a poker table; however, the most common poker tables are mostly rectangular or hexagonal. Rectangular poker tables are usually thirty inches high and forty to forty-two inches wide, though the lengths do vary from seventy-two inches to 110 inches.
Sometimes a dealer/player may have to sit in the middle of a rectangular poker table due to the large size of the table.
Today, the Internet has made it easy to design and acquire a poker table. Some manufactures also offer custom, folding poker tables, card tables, pedestal poker tables, three-in-one poker tables, Texas Hold’em poker tables, blackjack tables, poker tabletops, and craps tables, along with matching chairs, poker cards, and other supplies to suit the needs and tastes of prospective buyers.
Then there are some multipurpose poker tables that have an attractive wooden tabletop, which can be flipped to form a roulette table, a craps table, or a six-person blackjack table. The poker table also serves the purpose of a functional storage for storing the game pieces and poker chips.

Start playing in an online casino gives you more chances to learn better the online casino games tips. Playing poker sounds good for every player, but he should know at first something about poker highest hands they can ever have.
The value of the hands is one of the most important components of playing poker. If you don’t know this, you will not wim the game. So the highest most important hand you can possibly get on poker is called the royal straight flush. A good example of a straight royal flush could be the next.
All of the cards are hearts and they go from 10 to an ace. There are 5 cards are also the royal flush which we know they have the high value face cards. The royal flush is the highest you can have in poker. The next highest hand you can have in poker is the straight flush. So the only component that’s different is that is not a royal flush. So, once again all of the cards will be in order and they will all be of the same suit. So all of them are in order, but they are not all royal. That’s the next highest hand you can have in poker.
The 3rd highest hand you can have in poker is called the four of a kind when your 4 cards are the same number. So this is exactly what it looks like. You have one card that is not necessary fitting with any of your cards. But the next four will all be the same number. Whether the 5, queens, ten-jacks, doesn’t make any difference once they are all the 4 the same number. That’s called the 4 of a kind.
Another highest hand is called the full-house. When all five cards together make your house is called full. It’s when you have three cards of one kind and two cards of another. So for example let’s say you have 3 fours and 2 kings. That is called a full-house. Doesn’t make any difference of these kings of these fours as long as you have three cards of one kind and two of another, together these will make a full-house. So those were the best hands you can ever get in poker, the highest that you definitely wanna aim for. Don’t waste you time and try to do this in one of the best casino online you will ever find.
