Roulette betting on black strategy

Monday, June 28th, 2010

On a Roulette wheel there are 18 black numbers and 18 red numbers. There are many types of Roulette bets you can make and numerous betting combinations. There are inside bets and outside bets that you can make. The inside bets are the best that you can make on the 36 numbers on the betting table. The outside bets are the boxes that are outside the 36 numbers on the betting table.

One of the outside bets is the “black bet.” There is a black box outside the 36 numbers on the betting table and by placing a bet on the black box you are betting that on the spin that you bet on, if the ball lands on any of the one 18 black numbers you win the bet. Many people think that since there are 18 red numbers and 18 red numbers that they have a 50% chance of winning that bet. This is an incorrect assumption.

Roulette double zero

One of the reasons that Roulette is such a fun and exciting casino game to play is that there are many bets that you can make. There are single bets and combination bets and everything in between, as every spin of the Roulette wheel is loaded with action. One of the Roulette bets that you can make is the double zero (00), which is green in color and located at the top of the individual numbers on the betting table. A double zero is found in the American version of Roulette, as in the European version there is only the single zero, but not the double zero.

The double zero, as well as the single zero, is what give the house the edge. The double zero bet has a payout of 35 to 1. If you spread you bet between the single zero and the double zero and either hits, the payout is 18 to 1. There is also the Special Line Bet and that is a bet on the first 5 numbers, which are 00,0,1,2 and 3. The payout for the special line bet is 6:1. There are many bets on the table, such as the Red and Black, Odd and Even, and 1-18 and 19-26. Many people think that these types of bets have 50% chance of hitting, as there are 36 numbers, 18 red and black, and 18 odd and even. However, this is not the case, as the single zero and double zero make it less than 50%, hence the house edge.
